New Multiplex Cularis
The high-performance electric glider made of ELAPOR®.

The Cularis can be built as a glider or electric glider. For the electric version we recommend the dedicated power set, # 33 2633. With the recommended battery this power system provides 6 to 8 climbs to around 150 m on a single charge. If you want more power, simply fit a larger propeller (e.g. 12 x 8” or 13.5 x 7”); this gives a better rate of climb at the cost of reduced motor run times. The set also includes a glider nose cone in which an optional aero-tow coupling can be installed. The model can then be flown as a glider and launched by aero-tow. Our MAGISTER makes a great tug for the Cularis.

New Multiplex Twister
Turbine-powered model aircraft are steadily gaining in popularity, but many modellers are not prepared to pay the price of a small car to get one into the air. The Twister is of ELAPOR® foam construction, and gives you all the “turbine” fun you could desire for little more than pocket-money. Smooth high-speed flying, as befits the model type, broad jet-style aerobatics and attractive looks - these are the Twister’s outstanding features. Safe hand-launching characteristics were an important requirement at the design stage. This is a characteristic which can by no means be taken for granted with EDF (electric ducted fan) models, but we have achieved excellent results by combining a low wing loading with a careful choice of wing section. Although the Twister’s flying characteristics are docile and the landing speed is low, the model is only suitable for pilots with some experience of similar models.

The Easy Star was designed for first time pilots in mind, and offers incredibly stable flight characteristics and durability. Powered by a powerful Speed 400 motor mounted on the top so hard landing won’t break the prop or hurt the motor. The Easy Star flies with little input and has the ability to recover easily. Made from Multiplex’s durable “Elapor” foam, the Easy Star will take a tremendous amount of abuse without breaking. And, if it does break it is easily repaired with CA (super) glue. Even after many crashes during the learning process, the Easy Star will be ready for more and is sure to still around to teach someone else to fly where other trainers would be ready for the trash can!
