Hangar 9's
new Extra 330L comes custom-built, pre-covered, and trimmed
in Goldberg UltraCote®. Craftsmanship is at a level that
you'd expect only from a custom builder. Alignment, covering,
trim, wood
selection, glass work, paint, fits, glue joints, and overall weight
are on par with what we expect from custom builders who
typically
charge over $1,000 (labor only) to build a project of this size
and type. Each Extra features a built-up and fully sheeted
wing
that plugs into a 11/2" diameter aluminum wing tube, while
two aluminum anti-rotation pins securely hold the wing in alignment.
Servo pockets are cut out in each wing and accept most standard-size
servos, but only high-torque servos should be used. The horizontal
stabs plug onto dual aluminum stab tubes and secure in place using
two 4-40 screws. Servo cut-outs are already located in the rear
of the fuselage for the elevators and dual-rudder servos. The elevator,
rudder, and ailerons are also dual-bevelled at the hinge line,
allowing
over 45° of throw for radical freestyle maneuvers. Click here
